Participants' Pages
How to use this page
This page is to give course participants the opportunity to share their own Web 2.0 experiences - personal or work-related, before and / or after the course. To misquote that horrible burger advert, "It's your wiki; have it your way."
If you would like to create a page:
- login to the wiki and then select the "Create Page" button at the top or in the Quick Start bar on the right. It's best not to use spaces, as you'll end up with %20 signs in the middle of your address URL, which you probably don't want.
-
choose the template you'd like to use (I used the "Group" template for this one, which gave me the table of contents and nice sections with bullets and tables I could either delete or overwrite)
-
start creating your wiki page, using the WYSIWYG editor - it couldn't be easier.
-
put your name in the list of participants' pages here and link it to your page, so that anyone using the wiki can see your handiwork.

What else can I do with this wiki?
In theory, you can edit any page, although politeness would deter editing another presenter's or participant's page. However, your edit rights do mean that if you want to copy the format of any of the pages already up here, all you need to do is copy and paste.
There are some pages that could really be improved by your input, such as the Books, examples and blog hosts and software pages.
I'm a participant, but I haven't received an invitation to wiki!
This page was created on 15 May 2007. I've asked the UKOLN events team to send me email addresses of participants booked on the course, so you will receive your invitation to the wiki over the next couple of days.
